AIPP - ARTSFEST 2024 RECAP
end
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:executive summary
In 2024, the Martin County AIPP program participated in ArtsFest. We had a great booth where we offered the public information regarding the program, such as how the process works, potential funding, public art examples, how to donate or underwrite artwork in the community and the Martin County inventory of artwork. The "visual" activity that the AIPP program sponsored this year was done in partnership with MartinArts. We hosted the first-ever Middle School Chalk Mural Art Competition during ArtsFest 2024! Students from all 5 Martin County middle schools were a part of this competition, each group working with professional chalk mural artist, Danuta Rothchild, during her artist residency supported by MartinArts. The students and their teachers competed for certificates, ribbons, and cash prizes, as well as bragging rights, of course!
A recap of the event is provided by N.Lopez, Community Development Specialist.
