end
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:executive summary
Martin County CRA, Growth Management Department, the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council and REG Architects are coordinating an effort to update the CRA Architectural Design Standards for all six CRA areas. The kick-off presentation was held on March 4, which included a presentation on Architecture, Style and Design and how they are integral to building robust, strong and enduring neighborhoods and public spaces. This is an update on that effort.

BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
Our Community Redevelopment Areas are at the heart of what makes our neighborhoods special. They are vibrant hubs of culture, art, and economic activity where residential and commercial life come together in a unique way.
These standards currently exist in Article 12, Land Development Regulations, Martin County code. This is an effort to make them more flexible and responsive to the community’s current needs and to maintain the CRA vision in our neighborhoods. We've been working with a wide range of community members to ensure these updates are clear, practical, useful and will best serve our community's requirements and preferences.
