BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

The City of Stuart constructed an entrance monument sign in the SE Indian Street median, immediately east of SR 76 (S Kanner Highway), in 2014 as part of the project constructing the Veteran's Memorial Bridge. The proposed Interlocal Agreement delegates sole responsibility for the maintenance of the west-facing monument sign located in County right-of-way to the City. The City's maintenance responsibility for the monument sign will continue in the event ownership of the SE Indian Street right-of-way changes. Should the City choose to make changes to or replace the sign in the future they will be required to apply for a County Right-of-Way Use Permit.
