BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
On January 31, 2024, Chairman Harold Jenkins and County Administrator Don G. Donaldson, with representatives from the DOH, participated in interviews to select an Administrator of the Florida Department of Health in Martin County. From these interviews the selection of Mr. Nicholas Clifton was made for consideration and forwarded to the County Health Systems in Tallahassee. On February 20, 2024 the Chairman received the attached letter from the State Surgeon General requesting concurrence on the appointment of Mr. Nicolas Clifton from the Board of County Commissioners.

RECOMMENDATION
Move that the Board give their concurrence in the selection and appointment of Nicholas Clifton as Administrator of the Florida Department of Health in Martin County.
