Purchase price $529,600.00 plus due diligence and closing costs not to exceed $5,000.
Staff identified the need to acquire the property located at 4070 SE Salerno Road, in Port Salerno, as additional Stormwater retention and greenspace for the Port Salerno community. The property abuts Salerno Creek, which is the outfall for the Salerno Creek STA. The parcel consists of approximately 0.9436 acres, containing a 914 sq. ft. wood frame structure, which will be removed from the property in the future.
Staff has entered into a conditional contract with Christina Waldron Fortin aka Christina Waldron Fortin Ardigo, a married woman, for the purchase of the property.
Staff is recommending that funding for this project will come from District 4 MSTU as well as County Stormwater funds, to be shared equally.
Sec. 139.31 and 139.32, General Ordinances, Martin County Code require that any conveyance of an interest in land to Martin County for any public purpose shall be accepted and approved by resolution by the Board of County Commissioners.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
RECOMMENDATION
Move that the Board adopt a resolution approving and accepting a Warranty Deed for the acquisition of property located at 4070 SE Salerno Road, from Christina Waldron Fortin aka Christina Waldron Fortin Ardigo, and authorize the Chair to execute any and all documents necessary to complete this transaction, including, without limitation, the Residential Contract for Sale and Purchase.
