BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

 

Fine Reduction Request Republic Consumer Lending Group Inc.:

 

This Fine Reduction Stipulation and Agreed Recommended Order involves a parcel located at 18230 SE Ridgeview Drive, Tequesta, Martin County, Florida.

 

On April 17, 2019, an Order Finding Violation was issued by the Code Enforcement Magistrate to REPUBLIC CONSUMER LENDING GROUP INC, for the following violation(s): Section 21.105 Pools - Swimming Pools General Ordinances, Martin County Code, Section 67.201.A. - Nuisance Declared: Weeds, Undergrowth General Ordinances, Martin County Code, Section 21.115 Roofs - Roofs and Drainage General Ordinances, Martin County Code, Section 21.111 Protective Treatment - Protective Treatment General Ordinances, Martin County Code

 

Compliance was required by May 31, 2019.  On May 16, 2022, an Affidavit of Transition & Accrued Fine and Costs was issued reflecting an outstanding fine of $ 314,100.00 plus costs in the amount of $575.00.

 

Staff has determined that a lien reduction is warranted.  The respondents were responsible for the violation; and the County has placed the property into compliance by condemnation and the Respondent has agreed to pay $31,467.50 to resolve the outstanding fines which have accrued.

RECOMMENDATION

Move that the Board accept the Magistrate’s recommendations that the lien on the property be reduced to $31,467.50 and accepted as full payment.
