BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
Martin County maintains authority to review and/or revise the Housing Assistance Plan (HAP). The HAP is a guide for administering the local Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. After staff revisions, the plan was submitted to the Florida Department of Commerce (DOC) for review and is being presented to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) for final review and approval, followed by re-submission to DOC.
Staff completed a review of the HAP and has incorporated a few minor technical revisions to improve the oversight and implementation of the program.

To the extent this item contains legal issues, it has been reviewed for legal sufficiency; although this is primarily a matter of Board policy.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
RECOMMENDATION
1. Move that the Board approve the recommended 2021-2026 HAP.
2. Move that the Board authorize the County Administrator to sign the HAP.
