BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
The U.S. Sailing Center of Martin County is replacing their dock in April 2024, necessitating the temporary relocation of their operations. They have requested a Special Use Permit to utilize the public beach south of the Indian RiverSide Park Fishing Pier from April 9th to May 9th, 2024. The permit allows for the use of the beach by the High School Racing Team with a maximum of six boats during weekdays and limited membership sailing on weekends. All activities will conclude by 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and 5:00 p.m. on weekends to minimize impact on the area and ensure safety. The permit is subject to extension with ten days' notice based on construction needs and County Administrator approval.
