County staff is requesting approval of an amendment to the Purchasing Manual to provide for a Public-Private Partnership process in accordance with Section 255.065, Fla. Stat.  This amendment merely establishes the process allowed by Florida law and does not involve a specific project.

BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

 

Section 255.065, Fla. Stat. provides a statutory process for the County to receive unsolicited proposals or to solicit proposals for qualifying projects and enter public-private partnerships. The proposed addition to the Purchasing Manual outlines the required process set forth in Section 255.065 and allows the Board the option of utilizing this process.

RECOMMENDATION

Move that the Board approve the resolution adding Section 17.6 to the Purchasing Manual.
