The 2023 Community Redevelopment Agency annual report describes projects and initiatives in the
County's six Community Redevelopment Areas during FY 2023. It is being presented to the
Community Redevelopment Agency Board for its review and approval prior to the filing of the report
with the Martin County Board of County Commissioners.

BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
The Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is a public entity established under the guidelines of
the Community Redevelopment Act (Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes) to implement community
redevelopment activities. Pursuant to Section 163.371(2), Florida Statutes, beginning April 1, and not
later than March 31 of each year thereafter, a community redevelopment agency shall file an annual
report with the county or municipality that created the agency and publish the report on the agency's
website.
The Annual Report identifies the projects and initiatives that have been undertaken by the CRA
through the fiscal year 2023. Fiscal Year 2023 is defined as a calendar year starting October 1, 2022,
and ending September 30, 2023. The audited financial statement of the Community Redevelopment
Agency will be included within the annual audit report of the Martin County Board of County
Commissioners.
The draft Annual Report will be uploaded and provided to the CRA Board via email.
LEGAL SUFFICIENCY REVIEW:
This item has been reviewed for legal sufficiency to determine whether it is consistent with applicable
law, and legal staff have identified and addressed legal risks and developed strategies for legal
defensibility, as applicable.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Move that the Agency (i) make any modifications it deems necessary to the draft FY 2023 Annual
Report, (ii) approve the draft FY 2023 Annual Report and (iii) recommend it be filed with the Martin
County Board of County Commissioners.
