As part of the Septic to Sewer Conversion Program, the Utilities & Solid Waste Department has requested easements from the parcel owners along the privately owned and maintained right-of-way known as NE Oak Lane Drive. Adoption of the Resolution and acceptance of the Utility Easements will allow for the installation of water and sewer infrastructure to serve the properties.
The Real Property Division will continue to obtain the necessary easements from the parcel owners, will confirm ownership of each of the easement areas upon receipt and prior to recordation, and obtain the necessary Consents of Mortgagee, where applicable, for any encumbrances on the property.
Sections 139.31 and 139.32, General Ordinances, Martin County Code, require that any conveyance of an interest in land to Martin County for any public purpose shall be accepted and approved by Resolution from the Board of County Commissioners of Martin County.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
RECOMMENDATION
Move that the Board (i) adopt a Resolution accepting and approving Utility Easements from the owners of the 22 parcels, as identified in Exhibit “A” of the Resolution, and (ii) authorize the Chair to execute all documents associated with this transaction.
