BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

Senior Resource Association (SRA) has been designated by the State of Florida Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged (State) as the Community Transportation Coordinator (CTC) for Martin County and has initiated a program to provide a coordinated community transportation service. SRA as the CTC for Martin County, Florida is responsible for ensuring that transit services to the Transportation Disadvantaged are provided and will receive Trip and Equipment Grant funds directly from the State. State Trip and Equipment Grant funds require local match funds equal to ten (10) percent of the Trip and Equipment Grant and SRA as the CTC for Martin County, Florida is responsible for managing State Trip & Equipment Grant funds.

A contract between Senior Resource Association and the Martin County Board of County Commissioners requiring local match funds equal to ten (10) percent of the Trip & Equipment Grant FY 25 and $58,282 overmatch was executed on July 1, 2024.

At the December 10, 2024, BOCC meeting, the Martin County Board of County Commissioners approved additional overmatch funds in the amount of $150,000 to the Transportation Disadvantaged Trip & Equipment Grant FY 25 and the BOCC approved the First Amendment to the contract between Senior Resource Association.
