The County and TIITF entered into a SSLL, effective September 9, 2021, with a 5-year term which expired on September 9, 2026 (BOT File No. 430355206). The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FLDEP) conducted an inspection of the leased area and determined a renewal of the SSLL is warranted. FLDEP issued the SSLL renewal effective September 9, 2026, for another 5-year term to expire on September 9, 2031. Once approved and signed by the Board of County Commissioners, the SSLL renewal will be sent to FLDEP for final execution by TIITF.
Prior to the expiration of the SSLL in September 2031, if Lessee is in full compliance with the terms of the SSLL, Lessor will begin the renewal process for an additional term as required by FLDEP.

RECOMMENDATION
Move that the Board approve the Sovereignty Submerged Lands Fee Waived Lease Renewal between TIITF and Martin County and authorize the Chair to execute all documents necessary to complete this transaction.
