BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
This Interlocal Agreement fulfills the need for coordinated utility services between Martin County and the Town of Jupiter Island, as outlined in both the Martin County Comprehensive Growth Management Plan and the Town's Comprehensive Growth Management Plan. It aligns with the Florida Interlocal Cooperation Act and allows both parties to collaborate effectively on utility services and infrastructure. This agreement will ensure that both entities respect utility service areas, protect wellfields, and address potential development impacts in the south Martin County area. The Town approved the Interlocal in January.
