The following terms for the Community Redevelopment Agency and the Public Art Advisory Committee have expire as listed below:
Richard Kennedy - At-Large (currently from Rio) - term expired January 7, 2025
Michael Readling - Rio - term expired January 4, 2025
Rex Sentell - Old Palm City - term expired January 4, 2025
Cynthia Hall - Jensen Beach - term expired January 4, 2025
Saadia Tsaftarides - Golden Gate - term expired January 4, 2025
Sec. 39.2, General Ordinances, Martin County Code (the Code) sets forth the procedures for appointment of members to the CRA. Sec. 39.2.E. of the Code states the term of each member shall be determined at the time of their appointment, and after the initial appointments, terms are for four years.
The Board of County Commissioners appoints the members of the CRA Board. As stated in Sec. 39.2.D.4. of the Code, one of the qualifications to be a CRA member is that the person must "have served as Chair of the Neighborhood Advisory Committee." County records indicate that the following potential appointees meet this criterion:
Rio: James Lopilato, Adam Guzi, Michael Readling
Old Palm City: Tom Plymale, Chuck Smith, Rex Sentell
