As required by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Program Management Bulletin, the Board of County Commissioners is asked to adopt a resolution supporting the FDOT funding of a project in the County's rights-of-way, which is anticipated to be prioritized by the Policy Board of the Martin Metropolitan Planning Organization.

BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

It is anticipated that the Martin Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Policy Board will approve a list of prioritized projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to include in its Five-Year Work Program, beginning July 1, 2025.

One of the projects involves improvements within the County's rights-of-way in which the County shall deliver design and construction for the project described as follows:

Facility: SE Pomeroy Street
Limits: SR-76 (S Kanner Highway) to SR-5 (US-1/SE Federal Highway)
Description: Roadway and Safety Improvements.

The Board is being asked to adopt the resolution supporting FDOT funding with County delivery of design and construction of roadway and safety improvements on SE Pomeroy Street.
