FPL has requested an easement for extension of their electrical service on County-owned property at the Cummings Library in Palm City. The electrical service will allow the new chiller plant to operate at off-peak hours to produce/store ice for cooling during peak electrical hours creating long term cost savings and efficiency.

In compliance with Section 139.50 General Ordinances, Martin County Code, prior to granting this easement, the Board must consider the following:

1. The easement facilitates provisions of the utility's service on the County-owned parcel and provides added value to the site.
