BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

Pursuant to Section 155.38.C., General Ordinances, Martin County Code, "The County Engineer will request the Board of County Commissioners adopt a resolution acknowledging the roads that were opened by recorded plat or road opening permits ... each year. The resolution will include the road name, classification, length, limits, pavement width, material, stormwater management technique, road right-of-way width, sidewalk width and location, maintenance responsibility, and other factors that the County Engineer feels suitable for the road inventory."
Six new Road Opening Permits have been issued for the following segments as depicted in Exhibit A - Location Maps.
? SW 50th Avenue from SW 69th Street to SW 66th Street (approximately 1,330 feet);
? SW 66th Street from its new western terminus to its new eastern terminus (approximately 1,370 feet);
? SE Grouper Avenue from SE Lee Street to its new northern terminus (approximately 60 feet);
? SE Isabelita Avenue from SE Cove Road to its existing southern terminus (approximately 190 feet); and
? SE Hillside Circle from SE Dixie Highway to SE Dixie Highway (approximately 720 feet);
? SE Peterson Lane from its existing northern terminus to its new northern terminus (approximately 130 feet).
These road segments: are local roads; are at least 20 feet wide; are posted with a 25 MPH speed limit; are within an existing right-of-way owned by Martin County; and will be maintained by Martin County....
