6. Benefits to the County: This contract provides for public programming and management of a Historic Facility in Martin County.
7. Cost to the County: $96,000.00 per year.
The Historical Society of Martin County (the "Society") currently operates the House of Refuge pursuant to a three (3) year Management Agreement ("Agreement") with the County that expires on September 30, 2025. The current Agreement provides that the term of the Agreement may be renewed for subsequent 3-year periods upon written agreement of the parties. The Society has requested a 3-year extension to allow for the continued operation of the House of Refuge for the benefit of the Martin County and visiting public.
