This is a request to adopt a resolution rescinding Resolution No. 23.10.3 regarding the prior Minimum Standards for Aeronautical Activities at Martin County Airport/Witham Field (Minimum Standards) and approving a new rates and fees schedule contained in Attachment B of the Minimum Standards to continue making the airport as self-sustaining as possible.

BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
The Board of County Commissioners, as the Airport Sponsor of a federally obligated airport, seeks to make available the opportunity to engage in aeronautical activities by persons, firms, or corporations and imposed Minimum Standards for Aeronautical Activities (Minimum Standards) to ensure a safe, efficient, and adequate level of operation and services offered to the public.
The Board is also obligated by its commitments to the federal government, as reflected in annual grant agreements with the Federal Aviation Administration, to make Martin County Airport/Witham Field as financially self-sufficient as practical under the circumstances existing at Witham Field.
On October 10, 2023, the Board revised the Minimum Standards at Witham Field by Resolution. This rescission adjusts the Rates and Fees Schedule (Attachment B) of the revised Minimum Standards to align the rates and fees at Witham Field with market conditions, maintain the Airport Enterprise Fund, and make the airport as self-sustaining as possible.
