This is a request for the adoption of a resolution approving and accepting a Lease with the School Board of Martin County, Florida for the Environmental Studies Center ("ESC"). The extension allows ESC to continue to utilize the Nature Conservancy property adjacent to the Florida Oceanographic Center located at 890 NE Ocean Boulevard, Stuart, FL 34996 as they have done since 1993.

BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

3. Purpose of the Agreement/Contract: Extend agreement by Amending and Restating the Public Purpose Lease for continued use of the property

In 1972 the ESC was established with a mission to be a community resource dedicated to promote environmental education through its community facility. In 1993, the Martin County Board of County Commissioners granted ESC's request and a Lease Agreement was entered into for a twenty-five (25) year term with one five (5) year extension, which final extension expired on March 9, 2018, for the 5.1 acre vacant Nature Conservancy property located next to the Florida Oceanographic Center at 890 NE Ocean Blvd, Stuart, F...
