Hobe Sound Beach is a Martin County owned, public beach within the limits of the Town of Jupiter Island. In 2015 Martin County granted the Town of Jupiter Island a TCE for its Beach Restoration Project. As additional consideration for that TCE, the Town of Jupiter Island constructed 10 additional parking spots for Hobe Sound Beach. That Temporary Construction Easement expired in June 2016.
In June 2018, the Town of Jupiter Island contacted Martin County for a new TCE for its Beach Nourishment Project beginning after November 1, 2018. The Town of Jupiter Island would like to utilize the Northern parking spaces for construction crew parking and to create a temporary sand ramp over the seawall at the very Northern end of the property for light duty equipment access only. This intended use is the same as what was done for the 2015 Beach Restoration Project.
