BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
Sections 196.011(9)(a) and 193.501(8), Florida Statutes require a majority vote of the governing body (the Board of County Commissioners) to approve automatic renewal of exemption and assessment applications. Automatic renewals have previously been approved for homestead and other exemptions and for agricultural classification. The Property Appraiser's Office is requesting approval to automatically renew conservation exemption and assessment classification. A letter from the Property Appraiser is attached to this Item.
