BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
The Board accepted the CDBG grant during its September 12, 2017 Board meeting and the contract was signed and executed by Department of Economic Opportunities (DEO) on October 10, 2017. The current workplan was prepared by DEO on March 13, 2017 seven months prior to the grant execution. The modification to the workplan is being requested to reflect the time difference between the start dates and the execution of the contract by extending the final close-out seven months

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
RECOMMENDATION
Move that the Board authorize the Chairman to sign the modification request and any future non-monetary amendments to the grant agreement.
ALTERNATIVE RECOMMENDATIONS
Pull this item from the Consent Agenda and provide staff alternative direction regarding the CDBG grant.
