BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

Richard D. and Karen J. Maneage Fine Reduction Request:

This Fine Reduction Stipulation and Agreed Recommended Order involves a parcel located at 15988 SW Warfield Boulevard, Indiantown, Martin County, Florida.

On July 15, 2009, a Stipulation and Agreed Final Order was issued by the Code Enforcement Magistrate to Richard D. and Karen J. Maneage for the following violation(s): Section 67.201.B - Nuisance Declared: Trash, Etc., Section 105.1 FBC - Permits When Required Incor. By Section 21.1, Section 10.1.C.1 - Development Order - Site Plan under General Ordinances, Martin County Code.

Compliance was required by October 15, 2009. On May 30, 2019, an Affidavit of compliance/Accrued Fines was issued reflecting an outstanding fine in the amount of $349,400.00.

Staff has determined that a lien reduction is warranted. The Respondents brought the property into compliance and have offered to pay $3,000.00 to resolve the outstanding fines which have accrued. In addition, staff has considered the $154,470.00 assessed value of the property. Staff has also taken into consideration that the owners believed that when the final inspection was passed that their contractor had corrected all violations on site.
