BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

 

Kevin M. and Debra T. Kalidonis Fine Reduction Request:

 

This Fine Reduction Stipulation and Agreed Recommended Order involves a parcel located at 1065 NE Banyan Tree Drive, Jensen Beach, Martin County, Florida.

 

On April 18, 2018, an Order Finding Violation was issued by the Code Enforcement Magistrate to Kevin M. and Debra T. Kalidonis for the following violation(s):  Section 67.201.B - Nuisance Declared:  Trash, Etc., Section 105.1 FBC - Permits When Required Incor. by Section 21.1 under General Ordinances, Martin County Code. 

 

Compliance was required by May 31, 2018.  On June 4, 2019, an Affidavit of Compliance/Accrued Fines was issued reflecting an outstanding fine of $57,100.00 plus costs in the amount of $575.00.

 

Staff has determined that a lien reduction is warranted.  The Respondents have offered to pay $5,767.50 to resolve the outstanding fines that have accrued, which reflects 10 percent of the total fine accessed to the property.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

 

RECOMMENDATION

Move that the Board accept the Magistrate’s recommendation that the lien on the property be reduced to $5,767.50 and accepted as full payment.
