In 1947, the Martin Anti-Mosquito District was abolished, and its duties transferred to the Martin County Board of County Commissioners. The County has been providing mosquito control services within incorporated and unincorporated areas since this time, however there are no formal agreements in place regarding these services. This agreement authorizes the County to continue mosquito control services within the Town’s municipal limits. Mosquito populations arise from incorporated and unincorporated areas in Martin County and move between jurisdictional boundaries. On July 23rd, the Town of Sewall’s Point approved the Interlocal Agreement for Mosquito Control Services and authorized the execution of the agreement.
