The property located at the corner of SE Dixie Highway and SE Florida Street in the City of Stuart is in the process of being sold. Since the property is located within the City of Stuart Community Redevelopment Area, the City is requiring the dedication of a 10’ strip of right-of-way along SE Dixie Highway and a 25’ corner clip at SE Dixie Highway and SE Florida Street. This section of SE Dixie Highway is a County road and the City asked the owners to dedicate the property directly to Martin County.
A Title Commitment confirming ownership in Ronald F. Ordway, Crystal Quevedo and Bonnie O. Arnold has been provided.
Sec. 139.31 and 139.32, General Ordinances, Martin County Code require that any conveyance of an interest in land to Martin County for any public purpose shall be accepted and approved by resolution by the Board of County Commissioners of Martin County. Staff has prepared a resolution accepting the conveyance.

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
RECOMMENDATION
Move that the Board adopt a resolution approving and accepting a Warranty Deed for the conveyance of a 10’ strip of right-of-way along SE Dixie Highway and a 25’ corner clip at SE Dixie Highway and SE Florida Street from Ronald F. Ordway, Crystal Quevedo and Bonnie O. Arnold to Martin County and authorize the Chairman to execute any and all documents necessary to complete this transaction.
