BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

Martin County is currently in the process of collective bargaining negotiations with Martin County Firefighters Association Local 2959, IAFF. The current collective bargaining agreement with IAFF expires on September 30, 2020. The County's Negotiations Management Team is requesting an executive session to discuss the labor negotiations. The Board of County Commissioners has a limited exemption from public meetings, which allows the Board to meet in an executive session to discuss collective bargaining issues. This exemption is covered under Florida Statutes Section 447.605.

This session will be attended by each of the five County Commissioners, the County's Negotiations Management Team Members, and the County Attorney.
