BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
From January until March 2020, the state legislature convened in Tallahassee for Florida’s annual legislative session. On June 29, 2020, Governor DeSantis signed the FY20-21 statewide budget into law. In response to the current and projected loss of revenue to the state due to COVID-19, the governor vetoed many line items. However, many of Martin County’s legislative priorities remained. This presentation is to give an overview of the final budget and policy bills that will now become law in the State of Florida.
