BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

The Martin County Parks and Recreation Department will begin operating the newly constructed Seaside Caf? in Stuart Beach located at 825 NE Ocean Boulevard in Stuart in the Fall of 2020. The Parks and Recreation Department is requesting approval to apply for a State of Florida 4COPSCC license to sell beer, wine and liquor for onsite consumption and to authorize the Chairman of the BOCC to sign the license.

The 4COPSCC is a Special County Commission liquor license issued by the State of Florida. It is the only type of full liquor license that Seaside Caf? qualifies for because it has under 2,500 square feet of service space. Because this license is issued to County Commissions, it requires a County Commissioner to sign the license application.

If the BOCC authorizes the license, after the certificate of occupancy is received and the Seaside Caf? receives its Martin County business tax receipt, the license application can submitted for zoning approval to the Martin County Growth Management Department and for final approval to the Florida Department of Business Regulation.
