BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

Between 1955 and 1970 the County acquired three (3) properties through a Deed of Executor recorded in OR Book 208, Page 508, a Deed recorded in OR Book 71, Page 552, and a Warranty Deed recorded in OR Book 318, Page 440, all in the Official Records of Martin County; which were combined to create Parcel No. 05-38-42-000-000-00070-6, a 7.17 acre parcel located on SE Macarthur Boulevard. The House of Refuge and its parking are located on the east side of SE Macarthur Blvd. A public dock is located on the west side of SE Macarthur Boulevard.
Should Martin County apply for a grant to fund future pedestrian or cyclist access and/or parking along this section of SE Macarthur Boulevard, the grantors will most likely require the proposed improvements be in property designated as right-of-way.
Pursuant to Section 336.08, Florida Statutes the Board may designate the property as a public County right-of-way by adoption of a Resolution.
