Amendment to the Countywide Community Redevelopment Plan as well as each of the six CRA area Community Redevelopment Plans is needed to update all the legal descriptions and maps as adopted by the Board of County Commissioners and found in the new Article 12, Divisions 1-7, Land Development Regulations.

BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
Section 163.361, Florida Statutes, gives a governing body (the Board of County Commissioners) the ability to modify or amend any Community Redevelopment Plan (CRP) upon the recommendation of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). This amendment, done through public hearing, consists of adding to each CRA area's CRP, and the Countywide CRP the updated legal descriptions adopted with the new Land Development Regulations and related maps, including Future Land Use, Regulating Plan, Zoning and Boundary maps.
Each CRA area has its own CRP which directs the improvements to be completed in that area. In order to accomplish that vision, the most correct and updated information should be made available to the public and staff.
LEGAL SUFFICIENCY REVIEW:
This item has been reviewed for legal sufficiency to determine whether it is consistent with applicable law, has identified and addressed legal risks, and has developed strategies for legal defensibility.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Move that the Agency recommend adoption of a Resolution amending the Countywide Community Redevelopment Plan to include the new, updated legal descriptions for all six CRA areas and the six CRA area Community Redevelopments Plans each to include the new, updated legal descriptions and related maps.
