BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

Martin County has an agreement with Palm Beach County for mutual assistance and automatic aid. Martin County and Palm Beach County are the only parties to the Agreement. The Agreement is being amended to provide sufficient training pursuant to Insurance Services Office (ISO) standards. ISO is an independent organization that scores fire departments in comparison to the ISO's standards to determine insurance costs. The term of the Agreement is also being extended an additional five years and will expire on September 30, 2031.

RECOMMENDATION
Move that the Board approve the First Amendment to Emergency Services Agreement for Mutual Assistance and Automatic Aid Between Palm Beach County and Martin County.
