BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

The attached list of Special Events Requiring Road Closure(s) from July 1st, 2021 through June 30th, 2022 identifies each event, the date(s) of the event, the impacted roadway(s), and its sponsor. The special events included on the list require closure of County and State roadways in unincorporated Martin County and closure of County roadways within a municipality's jurisdiction. Special events that require closure of a municipality's roadway within its jurisdiction are not included on this list. By approving this list, the Board of County Commissioners agrees that the County Engineer will ensure that the public is properly notified, and that traffic is properly detoured around the closure(s). Staff will bring forth the list again in late spring for next season's events. This will provide sponsors ample time for planning their events in the fall and winter of the coming year.
