BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
Infrastructure is a priority in the Rio CRA area and the Rio Septic to Sewer project, when complete, will provide sewer access to all properties within the Rio CRA boundary via the Martin County Utilities (MCU) Connect to Protect grinder system program.
The Connect to Protect program was created to assist homeowners in converting from their onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems to the MCU sanitary sewer wastewater system. This program is intending to be a “one-stop shop” that streamlines the process for homeowners while providing financial incentives to connect. MCU will have licensed contractors install the grinder pump system at the home and connect to the system. MCU will fully maintain the grinder system in perpetuity.
