On March 23, 2021, the Board approved the acquisition of 10 parcels within Hobe Heights and gave staff permission to apply for and accept a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funded grant via Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) for the acquisition of the 10 identified parcels in Hobe Heights.
FEMA requires an Exhibit A attachment to the Warranty Deed that needs to be executed by both parties to the transaction.
Real Property has verified ownership of the parcels and will verify there are no vital encumbrances on the properties prior to acquisition.
Sec. 139.31 and 139.32, General Ordinances, Martin County Code, require that any conveyance of an interest in land to Martin County for any public purpose shall be accepted and approved by resolution of the Board of County C...
