BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:
The Dixie Highway Resurfacing project is part of the long-term vision for the Golden Gate community. It is largely focused on enhancing safety for vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians through the addition of medians and crosswalks and enhancing the community as a whole with bike lanes, new landscaping and lighting.
After years of thorough vetting throughout the community, the project began construction in August 2021, after which the staff of the Public Works and CRA departments received additional input from some of the surrounding community members. Comments regarding the median design resulted in a redesign of the project.

This item has been reviewed for legal sufficiency to determine whether it is consistent with applicable law, has identified and addressed legal risks, and has developed strategies for legal defensibility.
