BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

Martin County is aware of the seriousness of mental health and how it impacts County operations. Some of the most impacted operations fall under the purview of the Martin County Sheriff, Sheriff Snyder. Sheriff Snyder has seen an increase in cases and will need to expand the jail to accommodate the increase. Sheriff Snyder will present to the Board on the need for an expanded jail.
