FPL has requested a Utility Easement for added underground electrical service on County owned property at Witham Field in Stuart. In compliance with Section 139.50, General Ordinances, Martin County Code, prior to granting this easement, the Board must consider the following:
1. The easement will facilitate provisions of the utility’s service on the entire County parcel for airport operations and will provide added value for future public use of the facility.
2. The new underground service will provide the needed connection for service along the Stuart Jet Center west parcel.
3. The easement will not interfere with use of the County property.
4. The easement is to be placed along the west side of the Stuart Jet Center parcel, which will provide greater access to future connectivity within Witham Field.
5. There is no consideration to be paid by FPL for this easement.
6. FPL has agreed to cooperate in moving the easement if the County should require.
A sketch and legal description for the Utility Easement has been provided and reviewed by the County Surveyor.

RECOMMENDATION
Move the Board grant Florida Power & Light Company the utility easement and authorize the Chair to execute any and all documents necessary to complete this transaction.
