The Art in Public Places program’s annual budget funds operating costs, maintenance costs, and capital project costs. This is a request for approval of the FY 2023 budget.

BACKGROUND/RELATED STRATEGIC GOAL:

The AIPP Capital Projects Budget utilizes 70% of all revenue. It reflects the cost of artwork

purchase, creation, installation, engineering, signage and public art programs (i.e., mural program,

sponsorships, competitions, events, etc.), whether temporary or permanent. The proposed AIPP

Operating Budget, utilizing 30% of all revenue, will be used for maintenance, repairs and administration of the art inventory and program management costs.

3.                     Re-allocate Rio Roundabout dollars

1.                     Ceramic Relief - Stuart Beach

2.                     Gresko Sculptures

1.                     Manatee Gateway stainless and teak benches

2.                     Gresko sculptures’ rust

3.                     Sailfish Splash competition pool murals - Sealcoat

RECOMMENDED ACTION:

Move that the PAAC approve both Art in Public Places program budgets, Operating and Capital

Projects, for FY 2023.
