1. PERMISSION TO APPLY FOR THE FTA 5307 URBANIZED AREA CARES ACT PROGRAM GRANT

* Project Description - On March 27th the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law providing $2 trillion in support for a variety of industries affected by COVID-19, including the transit industry. The CARES Act provides funding to support the transit industry response to COVID-19. Martin County is eligible for 3,220,534 in operating expenses under the Urbanized Area Formula Program (49 USC 5307). This funding will be provided at 100-percent federal share, with no local match required and is for operating expenses incurred beginning on January 20, 2020 to maintain transit services, prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19.
