5. Duration: The duration of the Agreements is for as long as FPL, its
successors or assigns, operate the undergrounded facilities

6. Benefits to Martin County: Underground utilities provide greater above ground space for
the Bridge Road Main Street project improvements

7. Cost to Martin County: $92,085.00 which is budgeted in the Bridge Road Main Street Project

The Bridge Road Main Street project will promote economic development by providing new infrastructure, increased parking, new sidewalks, street lighting, and landscaping. As part of this project, staff is coordinating with FPL to underground the electric lines located on SE Lares Avenue between Bridge Road and SE Anstis Place, including transformers, switch cabinets and other appurtenant facilities.
